Today, I visited six wineries in Paso Robles.  This was day two of the Harvest Wine Festival.  There were some outstanding wines.  Here are the highlights.

I tasted a flight of seven reds at Hunt Cellars.  They were all outstanding.  My favorites were 2006 “Que Sirah Syrah”, 2005 Cabernet “CabOvation” and 2005 “Thriller”.

At Terry Hoage Vinyards, I tasted a flight of four marvelous reds.  My favs here were 2008 “The Pick” Grenache Cuvée and 2007 “The 46” Grenache-Syrah.

After I return to Los Angeles, I’ll report on these selections and others in more detail.
